What was that?
You fell flat?
Things are bad?
No fun is had?
What was that?
You curse the cat?
Why do that?
Are you a gnat?
What was that?
Chew that fat.
You're not great?
Can't beat fate?
What was that?
You fell flat?
Didn't we do this?
Don't give me a hiss.
What was that?
Bad's where it is at?
Now you're just twisting words.
Are you repeat tweety birds?
What was that?
It's under your hat?
Like in your brain?
Is this a thought train?
What was that?
Whoops, it's scat.
Thoughts fell flat.
How about that?
How about that?
0 = the stat.
No more doubt.
Twist and shout.
How about that?
Dusted the mat.
They flew away.
Have a nice day.
What was that?
Questions annoy like a gnat?
Treat them like a brat.
Ground them and that is that.

Are you grounded now? See, no need to raise any eyebrow. The cat gets to it in the end with my grounding trend. Grounded and wise and away the insecurity flies. Or crazy and wise. Take your pick after a few tries. Questions you give yourself the most. Let the mind sail them to the coast. Then just get back to writing in mass. You can trust my crazy not so grounded little rhyming ass.
Fill your rummer, get drunk all summer.

Wow, you really have a gift of rhythm and rhythm. Thank you for co-hosting IWSG, otherwise I'd never have discovered your site. Nice
ReplyDeleteOut it shall flow

Are you grounded when you're in the air
Do you think my question is fair?

That covers that I think!
ReplyDeleteGot it covered
DeleteAs away I hovered
The cat is more grounded than most of us:)
ReplyDeleteMaybe because he digs in the dirt?
DeleteSo with the ground he can flirt
I just love your rhyming with the cat. I'm smiling because I find it humorous. Many thanks for being one of the co-hosts this month.

Grounded? What is that? My head is always up in the clouds. A little grounding could do me some good!
ReplyDeleteDoes it fly up like a balloon?
DeleteCan it reach the moon?
For myself, I'm going with "crazy and wise." And I use the term "wise" loosely. :)
ReplyDeleteCrazy is more fun
DeleteWise is also good to be spun
Love the rhyme! LOL
ReplyDeleteMaybe not rhyming, but this is I.B. Nosey's "take" of a familiar, er,....something!
Ahem.
Here we go....
Sue pecked pickled seashells down by the peppered seashore.
A piper of seashells Peter Cipher sold.
If Peter Cipher peppered a slew of picked seashells,
How the pickle did Sue syphon her sea-bells that Peter Cipher piped?
Thanks for visiting Feeling Nosey? today! :)
Love your site, btw. :)
That is sure a pickle
DeleteOne that may be fickle
Maybe they just need a pickle
Or Sue and Peter should do more than umm tickle
Good rhyme for staying grounded. I do a pretty good job of it. Past delusions and illusions.

Floating here and there
DeleteWe float without a care
You're amazing. Glad to have found your blog through this month's IWSG! I'm working on getting grounded. The creative side of me needs the clouds, but the business side of me needs to work on finding the ground! Christy
ReplyDeleteThe creative side sure needs to fly free
DeleteBut the rest of that business stuff can't go run up a tree
My creative side is sagging a bit lately, however I am doing NaNo so I better shake fluff it up. Like your header.
ReplyDeleteJuneta @ Writer's Gambit
Have to give it a fluffing
DeleteAnd maybe a buffing
What was that?
ReplyDeleteI'm baaack! I'm such a brat:)

Now I shall backtrack a bit at your hall.
A backtracking can work
DeleteAfter many a fun backtracking perk
That was fun.
ReplyDeleteGlad fun was had
DeleteAt our pad
My creative side
ReplyDeleteShouldn't add too much pride
But the business of writing
Needs much more lighting
Thanks for co-hosting this month's blog question for IWSG. All the best to you.
Lighting like that
DeleteThe cat thinks is scat
But must be done
For on with the fun
So what you're saying
ReplyDeleteIs there'll be no straying
Cuz that's that
and that will be that
and that's the end of that.
That it is
DeleteWith the that biz
Take that to the bank
My find a good yank
Or maybe just a banker
Who's a fun umm wanker
Aint got no rummer, it's a bummer.
ReplyDeleteThanks for co-hosting this summer!

Love your poems. They always make me smile.
ReplyDeleteGlad to get a smile

That poem made my evening. Love it!
ReplyDeleteAn evening made
DeleteA fine trade
Well, Cat, I'm glad to see Pat stealing a little glory! You get a lot of play at your bay. Just hoping Pat had lots of fun as he visited many before he was done!

Glad fun is had
DeleteAnd a rhyme at your pad
Works indeed
As it takes seed
There are occasions when we're sad
ReplyDeleteBut it isn't all bad
More fun to be had
And many reasons to be glad.
The need to rhyme can be contagious and make for a fun time!
Good we can bring about that need
DeleteAs we go to it at our feed
You have an awesome post and an awesome site. Wonderful, just wonderful.
ReplyDeleteTimes two times two

Loved your poem. Sorry I am not at all good at poetry to add something. And thanks for co-hosting IWSG.
